YouTube lowers subscriber requirement to 1000 for mobile live-streaming
Google has lowered the minimum requirement to do live-streaming. The past requirement is 10.000 subs if you want to stream-live via mobile. Now YouTube has lowered those requirement to 1.000 subs.
To start streaming, first open the app, tap the capture button, and you are live. Streamed videos, according to YouTube, will not be different from your regular YouTube videos in terms of quality. Your subscribers will be able to search for them, recommend them, and protected from unauthorized viewing or use.
To improve streaming quality and ensure everything works out just fine, YouTube has slowed down live chats. This measure will ensure the streaming quality across all devices is high.
Supper Chat—a new way to make money if you are a creator was also launched alongside mobile streaming last February. Super Chat is an enhanced messaging service that enables you to earn money while livestreaming.
Critique:
By this changes, the population of user that can do live streaming will increase. This is good for new comer in YouTube to promote their channel. Also there is a new feature called Supper Chat which is an additional way to earn money. This will also boost new channel to grow and motivate the creator to make new content.
